Rosamond Gifford Zoo Website

As a final assignment, our class was instructed to recreate from scratch a new website for the Rosamond Gifford Zoo located in Syracuse, NY. This website was not only designed but also coded from scratch as well, using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Prior to beginning coding UX practices were followed through creation of mood boards, sitemaps and wireframes.

The mood board was a combination of images, color schemes and fonts. My mood board additionally included some inspirational concepts from other zoo websites.

The sitemap below detailed what could be found on each page.

Wire frames were sketched by hand and illustrated three of the pages that would later become interactive for visitors.

The site was then created from scratch and coded. The screenshots below illustrate the different pages that were created: the home page, animals page as well as online fun page. All three pages were linked together within the HTML and navigation bar.
